Welcome to Sangama 2003 - 2004
Namaskaara,
The new Sangama committee for the year 2003 – 2004 welcomes you and wishes you a very Happy and Prosperous Year ahead.
You have entrusted us with your mandate to make executive decisions on your behalf, to manage Sangama for the year 2003 – 2004. We hope that all of you will appreciate and welcome what we do. We consider it an honor and are proud to serve on this committee and look forward to all of your participation, support and encouragement throughout the year. True to its name Sangama, let us make this a collaborative effort. Being the small and close knit community that Sangama is, we hope to accomplish a lot without too many personal and emotional distractions within the community. We all need to agree to disagree when need be and maintain the Kannada Balaga harmony.
Your committee has started working diligently towards putting together an agenda for the following year. We will inform you the complete details in the days to come. Some of the main events for the current year are as follows:
- Father’s Day Picnic - June 15th, 2003 at Bernie Park
- Ganesha Festival - September 7th, 2003 - Venue TBD
- Kannada Day - Rajyothsava - November 1st, 2003 - Venue TBD
- New Year’s Celebration - December 31st, 2003 - Venue TBD
- Ugadi 2004 (Tarana Naama Samvatsara) - April 10 - Venue TBD

Any other events planned will be notified to you well in advance.
The first item on our accomplishments is bringing to you an enhanced Sangama Web Page at http://welcome.to/sangama, with a new look and lots of additional information. Our committee planned and worked on these enhancements for quite a while and the new version of the web page went live on 04/14/2003. Please continue to visit the web page as we will be enhancing it constantly and would also use it to portray the event details and talents in our community. We welcome constructive criticism. Please contact us at sangamastl@yahoo.com to reach the current committee.
As you are all aware, Sanjay Kikkeri spent a lot of his time and effort to bring a Sangama web site online. The first thing this committee did was to make him aware of the changes that would go into enhancing the web page. Sanjay provided us with all the current details and gladly consented to the changes, offering to help us going forward. We sincerely appreciate his efforts and look forward to working with him this year as well. Thanks again, Sanjay!
At this time we request your time to check the names of you family members your address, phone number, email address in the Sangama directory 2002-2003 and update us of any changes or missing information. After your feedback, we will add the directory to the web page with restricted access.
This committee acknowledges that the above directory details fall under the Information Privacy Act and intend to use it for official Sangama communications only. All official Sangama communications will currently be originating from the email address sangamastl@yahoo.com with an identifier of Sangama - Kannada Sangha. Any changes to the official Sangama email address will be notified to the community.
We will shortly send out this years first Newsletter which will include the details of the upcoming Father’s Day picnic. Please send us the names of your family member(s) graduating in the year 2003, to be included in the newsletter.
