President’s Message
ಸಾವಿರದ ಒಂಬೈನೂರ ಎಂಬತ್ತೈದರಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಿಸೌರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಸ್ಸಿಸ್ಸಿಪ್ಪಿ ಮಹಾನದಿಗಳು ಸಂಗಮವಾಗುವ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಲೂಯಿಸ್ ನಗರದ ಹಲವಾರು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ "ಸಂಗಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘ"ವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಗಮದ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರ ಅವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ಶ್ರಮದಿನ್ದ ಅಮೆರಿಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾಷೆಯ ಅನುಭವ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಈ ವರ್ಷ ಸಂಗಮದ 41 ನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವ. ನಮ್ಮ ರೋಮಾಂಚಕ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಆನಂದಿಸಲು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸೇಂಟ್ ಲೂಯಿಸ್ಗೆ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನಾವು ಈ ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಈ 41 ವಸಂತಗಳು ನಮಗೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹರ್ಷವನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹಾಗು ನಮ್ಮ ಈ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಹಲವು ಸುಂದರ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಮೆಲುಕು ಹಾಕಲು, ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಂದು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮಿಗಿಲಾದ ಸಾರ್ಥಕ ಭಾವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬನ್ನಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಈ ಸಂತೋಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಾಗು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹರಸಿ.
ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಘದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಪರವಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೃದಯ ತುಂಬಿದ ಸ್ವಾಗತ.

In nineteen eighty-five (1985), several Kannadigas in the city of St. Louis—where the great Missouri and Mississippi rivers meet—came together to start the "Sangama Kannada Sangha." Thanks to the tireless efforts of Sangama's volunteers, the next generation born and raised in America is able to experience Kannada culture and language.
This year marks the 41st anniversary of Sangama. We wish to celebrate this milestone event by inviting all of you to St. Louis to enjoy our vibrant cultural heritage. These past 41 springs (years) have inspired us to achieve even more. To share this joy with all of you and to reminisce about the many beautiful moments of our long journey, there is no greater sense of fulfillment than having you all come and participate. Come, be a part of our joy, and bless us.
