With an overwhelming turnout, a majestic celebration of the birth of Karnataka and the auspicious occasion of Deepawali ಹಬ್ಬ was completed on December 3, 2023 at the Mahatma Gandhi Center
A Yakshagaana main event by “Yakshahejje School of Yakshagana and Performing Arts”, that left the entire packed audience of approximately 200 Sangama patrons – spellbound and speechless. An invocation prayer (by Aditya Hebbar, Amogh Bhattacharya, Pranav Achar), a solo kathak performance (by Rithi Sahapathi), a breattating karaoke (by Ankita Pandurangi) and a cute little dance performance by little Riyanshi set the stage for the main event.
Smt. Deepthi Bharadwaj shared the “Celebration of Life for Dr. Chandra Shekar who we recently lost and who had touched so many of our lives, followed by a minute of scilence.
As is tradition, we had to celebrate the lovely achievement of the young Sangamites … and recognize the high school, undergrad and post-grad graduations.
